For more than 45 years Bionomic Industries has designed and manufactured Baghouse Dust Collectors for a wide array of applications and industries.
A Baghouse Dust Collector is a pollution control device and/or product recovery device which utilizes fabric filters, or ‘bags’, to remove dust and solid particulate from emissions.
A fabric filter bag typically has a diameter of 4.5” or 6” with lengths of 36″, 60″, 72″, 96″, 120″ or 144″. The size of a Baghouse Dust Collector varies widely, ranging from only a single bag to having thousands of bags.
Based on the specific application, Bionomic Industries optimizes baghouse design details such as air-to-cloth ratio, filtration velocity, filter area, interstitial velocity, can velocity, filter type, and housing size. Each design is customized to the unique needs of the operation processes and dust properties.
Our top priority is to supply a high-quality dust collector that you can rely on. Whether you require a collector to accommodate high temperature, high pressure, corrosive and/or moisturized gases, explosive dust, hygroscopic dust or other harsh conditions, Bionomic Industries can provide a reliable and safe solution.
Bionomic Industries’ modular baghouse systems can accommodate high gas flow rates greater than a million cubic feet per minute. Redundant designs allow separate modules to be cleaned off-line while others continue filtration operations. Redundant systems offer increased flexibility, bag life, and cleaning efficiency.
Baghouses are by far the most common type of air pollution control equipment. Baghouse dust collectors include built-in filter cleaning systems that prevent the filter bags from plugging.
Baghouses are generally classified by the systems of bag cleaning. There are three common types:
Pulse jet baghouse systems are the most common type. High-pressure compressed air is used for cleaning the filters. Pulse jet systems offer the advantage of consistency in dust removal efficiency.
Reverse air baghouse systems clean the filters with high-volume and low-pressure reverse flow air.
Shaker style baghouse systems utilize a motor-driven mechanical system to clean the filters by shaking them. This occurs while off-line, without any inlet dust-laden gas.
One of the following pre-filters is normally installed ahead of a baghouse when dust loading is higher than 5 grains/ft3:
Bionomic Industries can recommend & design the system prefilter based on the application and user preferences.
Bionomic also provides the following services to ensure you operate a worry-free baghouse dust collection system:
Baghouse dust collectors can often be re-built or upgraded at a fraction of the cost of a new collector. The collection efficiency of outdated reverse air and shaker designs can also be improved with pulse jet cleaning, typically increasing the amount of gas volume the collector can clean without increasing the collector size.
