The Series 6000 Tray Scrubber is the recommended choice when the application can include a particulate laden gas stream, a low liquid throughput for vapor removal/recovery or potentially fouling liquids or particulate.
This extremely versatile scrubber series utilizes our high performance sieve, impingement or fixed valve tray designs available in single or multiple stages to deliver high efficiency gas or particulate removal. Compared to packed bed scrubbers, the large diameter tray openings of the Series 6000 are less susceptible to fouling from particulate or solids laden scrubbing liquids. A full range of tray and vessels materials of construction are available including special non-stick trays for gas streams that contain resinous or scaling solids. In addition to particulate gas scrubbing this versatile series is able to handle the exceptionally high liquid flow rates necessary for gas subcooling applications.
Based on the specific application requirements, every Series 6000 scrubber is individually and expertly designed to fulfil all performance criteria. A large offering of component options enables satisfying the most difficult applications. The actual component selection process begins with a full engineering review of the mass transfer and or particulate removal needs, taking into account the scrubbing liquid and gas characteristics, contaminants and loadings, pressure drop and other important parameters to achieve the required removal efficiency or product recovery strength. The specific tray type, single or dual flow and number of stages are selected by our engineers using Bionomic proprietary data along with the appropriate types of weirs, downcomers, mist eliminator styles and other components, all backed by over 35 years of experience to ensure meeting all performance and service needs.
